With the advancement of automation in electrical machinery, automobiles, railways, ships, aerospace and other industries, laser welding technology has been applied more and more. Laser welding equipment will also develop in the direction of multiple styles and multiple powers.
At present, there are three types of lasers that are widely used in the market: fiber, pulsed Nd:YAG and CO2 laser sources. These three types of welding equipment have obtained enough room for development, and have been reused in high-power processing. But this is not the case for some applications, such as ultra-thin materials.
Welding of ultra-thin materials is an ultra-fine technical activity, which requires high laser beams: energy concentration, small welding deformation and flexibility, otherwise it will cause false welding or burn-through. And these advantages, fiber lasers have.
After the fiber laser beam is focused, the smallest spot can reach 10 microns, so the solder joints are very small. And because it is a continuous wave laser, it meets the high power density required for batch and continuous welding. In the field of aerospace, where lightweight requirements are high, fiber laser welding of thin sheets of lightweight materials has greater advantages and has become the focus of research in the aerospace industry. With the maturity of related projects and technologies, the application of fiber lasers in welding will become wider and wider.
Cooling requirements for fiber laser welding of thin plates
Regardless of the fine processing of this fiber laser, it is not "hypocritical" and is easy to maintain. As long as it is operated and used correctly, its life span is very long. Among them, the selection of the laser chiller is the key. First, the laser chiller must have sufficient cooling capacity, and then it must be stable. In addition, the water quality will also affect the laser (optional ion filter can be used to solve it.)
Special domain S&A has been focusing on the cooling of laser equipment for 17 years. Through years of technological innovation and the introduction of advanced equipment such as IPG fiber laser cutting machines, welding robots, and condenser production equipment, the company has achieved independent mechanical processing. From the procurement of parts to the delivery of ex-factory packaging, each level is checked and strictly required. Because of this, Teyu chiller has gradually developed into an industry standard, Teyu has also gradually moved towards modern mechanical automation, keeping pace with the times, and developing into a high-tech, high-efficiency, high-quality modern and high-tech enterprise. Last year, the annual shipment of Teyu chillers exceeded 60,000 units, winning the recognition of thousands of users!
