LSP1000
The 1000 machine features a newly developed rotary brush head with 6 counter-rotating brushes. The rotary head rotates around a vertical axis while oscillating across the workpiece, resulting in uniform, 360° processing from all angles and directions. This allows for uniform edge rounding up to a radius of 2 mm.
The machine can also be equipped with an abrasive belt station before and/or after the rotary head for deburring or finishing applications. This station includes Loewer’s unique floating head system, which shifts the unit out of the way if the grinding pressure gets too high, preventing workpiece overheating and protecting the contact drum.
Variations:
B-1000
Edge rounding
Edge rounding + oxide removal
BR-1500
Deburring + edge rounding
Deburring + edge rounding + oxide removal
Finishing
RotoMaster BRB-1000
Deburring + edge rounding + finishing
Deburring + edge rounding + oxide removal
Grinding + finishing
Advantages:
Uniform, 360° edge rounding from all directions on inside and outside contours.
Even wear of brushes, regardless of workpiece size or position on the feed belt.
Strong edge rounding up to a 2 mm radius.
Brushes generate minimal heat, ideal for processing foil- or zinc-coated sheet metal.
Compact design, with the rotary head needing only 1,300 mm length.
Less space required and more effective vacuum for holding small parts (50 mm x 50 mm).
Additional head oscillation ensures uniform results over the full width.
Four outside brushes can be adjusted separately in height and rpm from the four inside brushes, allowing for different brush types simultaneously (e.g., edge rounding and oxide removal).
Parts with varying thicknesses can be processed without adjustments.
Increased safety with the floating head system.
Constant feed table height, ideal for using additional conveyor tables.
Quick-change system for abrasive belts and brushes.
Suitable for processing laser-cut, plasma-cut, waterjet-cut, or punched sheet metal parts.
Compatible with stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials.
Standard working width of 1000 mm.
Touch panel control for adjusting all machine parameters, including workpiece thickness, feed speed, brush and head rpm, oscillation, abrasive belt penetration, brush wear compensation, and machine program storage.
Technical Data:
Max. working width: 1000 mm
Smallest part size: 50 mm x 50 mm
Workpiece thickness: 0.8 mm – 80 mm
Options:
Rotating Cleaning Brush: For cleaning the conveyor belt from below on the outfeed side.
Magnetic Track: Permanent magnetic track below the feed belt for holding down smaller steel parts.
Dust Extraction Unit: Available for wet or dry processing to remove harmful abrasive dust.
Conveyor Tables: Available in different lengths and widths for processing longer workpieces, with optional linked feed speed to the machine.
Units/Tools:
Abrasive Belt Unit with Contact Drum: Used for graining a decorative straight-line finish or deburring. The hardness and diameter of the contact drum can be selected based on the application (harder drum for straight-line finishing, softer drum for deburring).
Rotary Brush Head: Features 8 counter-rotating brushes on a single head, rotating around a vertical axis while oscillating across the workpiece, ensuring uniform 360° edge rounding up to a 2 mm radius. The four outside brushes can be adjusted separately in height and rpm to the four inside brushes, allowing two different brush types to be used simultaneously (e.g., lamella brushes for edge rounding and wire brushes for oxide removal).
