Deburring Egde Rounding Oxide Removal Finishing Machine With Rotary Brush Head in 1000mm Working Width

The 1000 boasts a newly developed rotary brush head featuring 6 counter-rotating brushes. The rotary head turns around a vertical axis while oscillating across the workpiece. This results in a very uniform, 360° processing from all angles and directions. Uniform edge rounding up to a radius of 2 mm has now been made possible.

The 1000 machine features a newly developed rotary brush head with 6 counter-rotating brushes. The rotary head rotates around a vertical axis while oscillating across the workpiece, resulting in uniform, 360° processing from all angles and directions. This allows for uniform edge rounding up to a radius of 2 mm.

The machine can also be equipped with an abrasive belt station before and/or after the rotary head for deburring or finishing applications. This station includes Loewer’s unique floating head system, which shifts the unit out of the way if the grinding pressure gets too high, preventing workpiece overheating and protecting the contact drum.

Units/Tools:

  • Abrasive Belt Unit with Contact Drum: Used for graining a decorative straight-line finish or deburring. The hardness and diameter of the contact drum can be selected based on the application (harder drum for straight-line finishing, softer drum for deburring).

  • Rotary Brush Head: Features 8 counter-rotating brushes on a single head, rotating around a vertical axis while oscillating across the workpiece, ensuring uniform 360° edge rounding up to a 2 mm radius. The four outside brushes can be adjusted separately in height and rpm to the four inside brushes, allowing two different brush types to be used simultaneously (e.g., lamella brushes for edge rounding and wire brushes for oxide removal).
